OLD TRAFFORD STADIUM

Old Trafford is a football stadium in Old Trafford, Manchester England. In the first decade of the 20th century, Manchester United played their home matches at a 50,000-stadium at Bank Street, when then president Davies began planning for a new stadium with double that capacity. A site was chosen near Trafford Park industrial estate, and architect Archibald Leitch was appointed to design the stadium

For me, Old Trafford is iconic stadium for me even though i am Liverpool supporter. This is because of the capacity of this stadium that can reach to 74,877 making it as the largest club stadium in United Kingdom. Its also the eleventh-largest in Europe. The stadium capacity was been upgrade throughout decades.

This stadium also been called as "The Theatre of Dreams" by the club legends, Bobby Charlton. With former manager Sir Alex Ferguson recently leaving his post, Manchester United look set to embark on a new era. One thing's for sure, however: Fans from around the world will continue flocking to the cosmopolitan Old Trafford to take in the magic of the stadium and to watch one of football's most successful clubs.
